About Chinmayee
I am Chinmayee, a holistic health coach passionate about transforming and empowering individuals to take ownership of their health.
I spent my teen and early adult years navigating a complex hormonal disorder called PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome).
At the time, I was presented with no solutions besides pharmacology, leaving me lost and dependent solely on a Western healthcare system. For years, I watched my symptoms worsen, feeling disempowered as if I had no control over my body.
After nearly a decade of treading through my diagnosis, I took action. I replaced my lifestyle habits one by one. Through consistency and discipline, I watched my physicality, mentality, and spirit blossom. I felt as if I was put back into my body.
In a world full of constant noise, polarizing health views, and a broken infrastructure, I want to help others understand that their circumstances are not fixed. That there is always an opportunity. And that through awareness & intentionality, we can transform our health & wellbeing.
Now as a Certified Holistic Health Coach (IIN), my goal is to empower others in reclaiming their health by building long lasting habits rooted in their everyday lifestyle.
There are no trends, yoyo diets, or quick fixes in my coaching. My core belief is that health is a daily practice which requires us to show up everyday.
Your health is yours to own. It is the one thing no one else can do for you. Embracing this responsibility gives you the power and freedom to become your most elevated and authentic self.
My Background & Yoga
Embodying yoga in my practice
Alongside my coaching practice, I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), committed to deepening my practice and studies under the guidance of my own teacher.
I do not view yoga as only the asana (physical posture) practice, but a complete living system that is the key to addressing root causes and building a life of long-term, preventative health. Where you are not just focused on mitigating sickness, but also living a life that is present, joyful, purposeful, and authentic to your true self.
My background
I was born in India where yoga and Ayurveda inadvertently found their way into my life. I grew up watching my grandmother rise at dawn (Brahmamuhurta) and my grandfather practice Pranayama (yogic breath work) every morning. Meals were prepared warm and served with ghee, and doing sun salutations was the way to start your day.
I began practicing meditation at the age of fifteen and asanas at the age of eighteen. After months of consistent practice, I noticed a shift in my energy and mentality. Yoga became a powerful antidote for reversing my PCOS and additional ailments that would enter my life.
Today, I apply the wisdom from my heritage, my teachers, and my own experiences towards my coaching. I combine both Eastern and Western wellness practices and see an integrative approach as one of the most effective tools for a healthy and purposeful life.
